- Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2022China Rising is a considerable effort. The significant touch of science fiction is very well done, although some of the technicalities, at the very least, raised an eyebrow of moderate disbelief. My own background rests on a fair degree of writing for automotive performance magazines and a life-long fascination with firearms. I am, therefore, touchy about such things as calling out a shotgun, and in the next sentence referring to it as a rifle. That is roughly the same as calling an automobile a bicycle. Sort out and eliminate such errors and you'll have a superior effort. I had a choice regarding continuing the reading or moving on. I chose to continue, so I feel it's worth your effort as well. - Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2021The book started very slowly and I wondered when the back stories would end and the real story would start. Once started the story was fast paced and i could not put it down. Enjoyed very much.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2021There is a lot of out of the box thinking in this ebook and the author does a great job of making them believable. The ebook needs a better title like Blood Dragon War, China Rising sounds like a work of non-fiction about China becoming a world power.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2020While hitting on topics straight out of 2020 headlines, this author generally avoids the annoying aspects of much current or near future world war or domestic political fiction. There is plenty of fault and intrigue to spread around without being too partisan. This is easily a 4-star book that's a quick read. The only thing I questioned was the suggestion that a Constitutional Amendment would be required to admit U.S. territory Puerto Rico as a state. It would not. It would take a majority vote of both Houses of Congress and the President's signature. Washington, D.C. would probably require the Amendment.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2021Fun read that actually had me concerned about the heroine at several points and totally caught off guard at others.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2021Dialogue needed to id speaker more clearly. Otherwise the plot held my interest and was fairly suspenseful.
I will check out the continuing story.
